It's kind of hard to sleep when it sounds like there's a full scale war going on outside.

Ah man, I love a good thunderstorm, even when I'm in bed. I know claps of thunder are the opposite of a nice rainfall, but the two together put me out like a baby.
Of course I need background noise to sleep (like fans, tv, etc), so that may have something to do with it.

In you don't mind me asking, what area are you in?
Tulsa here got 2 thunderstorm warnings for Wednesday-Friday today but we didn't get anything by 30MPH wind.

Actually I normally like thunderstorms. But that one last night was so loud and shook the house so much, it felt like 'nam all over again!

No, so I went back up to my heaven and when I came back everything was ok. The name still stands!

I must be insane, because the sound of rain and thunder puts me to sleep. Even the sound of slightly distant artillery fire puts me to sleep. I will even run loops of either from my computer with its really big cabinet speakers on some nights.
